Brett is an internationally renowned expert on internet safety. He is the director of INESS (Internet Education and Safety Services). Each year Brett talks to over 100,000 students, parents and teachers about internet safety. He has a law enforcement background and spent 22 year working for Queensland Police. Sixteen of those years he was a detective and the majority of that time was working in the child exploitation area. The last five years of Brett's career were spent as an under cyber detective. Part of his role included impersonating young children, teenagers and adults on the internet will the goal of capturing people who were trying to cause young people harm. This background gives him unique insight and experience. Brett has worked along side the FBI, The Department of Homeland Security and trained Police Officers at the National Police Academy in Iraq. He has spoken at a number of international education conferences on internet safety.
