As Founder of Emblem Media Inc, I've looked for new and innovative ways to improve content conversions. Many of the brands I worked with were having trouble doing much more with their videos than load them onto Youtube, Vimeo, or their websites. I spent over 15 years honing my technical craft in the video production space and the last few years diving into the psychology of content. After reviewing many of the storytelling and marketing practices that were out there, it was obvious that content was being delivered in a way that brands wanted, versus what their customers wanted. I looked over About Us videos and About Us webpages, analyzed hundreds of the best "Viral" videos and converting articles, and dove through the common denominators. What I found became the basis of Emblem's L.I.F.E. Messaging Model. L.I.F.E., in turn, became the basis of everything we've done moving forward. It opened our eyes to the backwards nature of marketing and how the universally taught "4 P's of Marketing" is completely outdated and too top level for brands today.
Outside of running the Emblem team, I'm a sought after speaker for workshops, seminars, and events. You can also find me as a contributor to the book "Digital Marketers Sound Off."
When I'm not caught up in the marketing world, I'm enjoying time with my family and our 2 dogs, and 2 cats. You can catch me nerding out on hockey, superheroes, action movies, and 80s rock and synthwave music.
