About me
Bethany Mooradian (WorkatHomeFAQ) has never held a traditional job for longer than nine months. Working as a Mystery Shopper, Virtual Assistant, Dog Walker, Puppeteer, and Ronald McDonald's bodyguard as well as many other roles, she has found unique ways of making ends meet and living her avant-garde passions. Now, Bethany spends her time as a Work at Home advice columnist answering questions about working from home, mystery shopping, avoiding scams, and entrepreneurship through articles, social media, books, and classes (both online and in-person in the Seattle area).
Mystery Shopping Experience:
Bethany is one of the few people who has experienced nearly every aspect of Mystery Shopping. Starting out as a shopper in 1999, she also filled the roles of editor and scheduler. She began teaching mystery shopping classes in 2003, and wrote a book, as well as created an interactive class about the industry. Small businesses have called on her expertise to help train their employees, while Mystery Shopping companies have sought her talents in recruiting and training shoppers. For two years, she ran Shop Incognito as a full service mystery shopping company in the Detroit area. Bethany has held over 400 classes and presentations, and has even spoken at the national mystery shopping conventions.
Work at Home and Entrepreneurial Experience:
Bethany has been self-employed since 1999 working for over 150 companies and individuals as an Independent Contractor providing a wide array of tasks including, but not limited to: administrative support, web design and development, Internet Marketing, social media strategies, email database implementation and marketing, virtual assistance, small business development, mystery shopping and customer service evaluation. She has been a small business mentor to start-ups looking to create a business plan, find funding, create multiple streams of income, create passive income, develop branding and marketing strategies, creating procedure protocols and manuals, hiring strategies, and other aspects of building a business. Her unique insight into the work-at-home industry has led to press in over 100 publications like Good Housekeeping, AOL Jobs, CareerBuilder, MSNBC, ABC News, The Detroit News, The Toronto Sun, US News and World Reports and others. Bethany's book, "The Work at Home Training Program" won a first place award in the 2018 Royal Dragonfly and Writer's Digest book contests.
