About me
I am an accomplished and compassionate professional with extensive experience in education, healthcare, and social development. I am deeply committed to advancing inclusive learning and lifelong development opportunities for individuals of all ages, particularly older persons. My professional focus centers on the creation and promotion of inclusive knowledge hubs and practical life-learning environments that empower communities through education and support.
With over a decade of teaching and training experience, I specialize in special and inclusive education, individualized learning strategies, and experiential teaching methodologies tailored to diverse learner needs. I possess strong expertise in behaviour management, student engagement, communication, and collaborative educational practices that foster academic growth and personal development. My instructional experience aligns with both Cambridge and International Baccalaureate (IB) standards, complemented by my work in career counselling, professional mentoring, and workshop facilitation.
Since entering the healthcare sector in 1978, I have dedicated my career to the development of training programs for healthcare professionals, with particular emphasis on maternal and child health, midwifery, and geriatric care. I am highly experienced in conducting Training Needs Assessments (TNA), designing competency-based curricula, and implementing customized educational and capacity-building programs that address evolving healthcare challenges.
My expertise extends across education, health, and community development initiatives, where I have successfully planned, managed, and coordinated multidisciplinary programs while fostering teamwork, institutional partnerships, and sustainable stakeholder engagement.
Academically, I hold a Master’s degree in Nursing, a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, certification in Midwifery, a Master’s degree in Public Health, a Master’s degree in Psychology, and a Diploma in Clinical Psychology. This diverse academic foundation enables me to serve effectively as an Education and Health Counselor, providing holistic guidance and support to individuals seeking personal, educational, psychological, and professional development.
Driven by a passion for empowerment and social inclusion, I strive to help individuals realize their full potential and improve their overall well-being through compassionate counselling, evidence-based education, and inclusive professional practice.
My commitment to inclusive education began in 2007 with the founding of the “Society for Rehabilitation of Mentally Challenged Children – Education for All” (SRMCC-EFA). This initiative continues to inspire and guide my lifelong mission of advocacy, rehabilitation, and equal access to quality education for all.
