Arnold Austin

Ethnographic Researcher-American Peoples, IMB, SBC

After crossing cultures as a professional in the chemical engineering field for 13 years, Arnold Austin became a church planting missionary among the indigenous peoples of Peru in South America. Since 2005 he has traveled jungles and mountains to gain anthropologic insight on many people groups. Arnold used that insight to teach semester and summer students the importance of learning host cultures and contextualizing the gospel message within them. Since 2011, Arnold has been a full time ethnographic researcher of the many iberian peoples of latin America. Part of his responsibility is teaching Worldview principles to an expanded audience including US churches and full time missionaries that work cross-culturally.
