About The Founder of Colony of Scholars
Consider the value of experience when choosing the person to assist your student as they seek scholarships and guidance through their college admission process.
Ariel Mobley is an instructor and founder of Colony of Scholars. Her academic journey and teaching experience from a non-profit organization called City Year inspired her to create this business. She taught herself how to apply for scholarships, and then after having much success started helping family members and high schoolers from Englewood High School.
High school guidance counselors tell you that you need scholarships, but don’t show you step by step what you need to do to get them. Colony of Scholars provides consultation and educational e-courses for scholars that need help with financial aid, scholarships, and other educational courses that teach you valuable skills as well.
"I just wanted to combine everything I loved into a business. I'm passionate about writing, teaching, and helping people, so this is how Colony of Scholars was born," Mobley said.
Faced off against the finest high schools in two area counties during her junior and senior year of high school. Ms. Mobley topped the competition by winning the following awards from The Florida Times-Union: First Place – Sports Writing, Second Place – Feature Writing.
In addition to her professional endeavors:
➢ Ariel will be graduating fall 2019 from the University of North Florida.
➢ She will graduate without a single student loan to her name and will have scholarship money for half of her tuition for her master’s degree in education at Johns Hopkins University.
➢ She’s an active member of the PRSSA.
