In April 2008 Anora began her first blog, a local photo blog. It took, and the fascination of the Internet led to one opportunity after another and a lot of exciting learning.
As of May 2012, Anora has spent four full years learning as much as possible about social media and Internet marketing for the micro and small business. She has worked on a national campaign, an city-wide event and been a social media manager for three clients for up to 2.5 years for each.
One client achieved 40% growth over the prior year and won an exemplary customer service award with the information she was able to present based on their social media program. Working 60 hour weeks for several years can lead to burnout but it also leads to an in-depth understanding of the Internet and social media from first hand experience.
Anora has always had an interest in sharing what she's learned with others, writing her first booklets for the foreign exchange program between the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and Taiwan and China.
Writing and helping write books about social media continue that earnest appreciation for helping pave the way for others.
The Social Media for Business book began in the fall of 2010 and was completed in June 2011 with chapters from 20 contributors included.
Anora has developed a series of workshops on social media and Internet publicity for authors and writers, and together with Martin Brossman is developing classes based on the book, and Martin's Dynamic Engagement Marketing plan.
Anora also writes non-fiction essays and poetry. She's working on a non-fiction book, a collection of poetry, while also working with writers and authors on their books and Internet publicity. Anora is an amateur photographer.
In May 2011, Anora started Women Writers, Women Books, an international women's magazine for and about writers and authors. BooksbyWomen.org.
Anora lives in the Raleigh, North Carolina area of the United States, with her husband Martin, a video engineer, and their rescued beagle Lady. Anora's son Jason is in law school, and is also a writer and photographer. She loves living in North Carolina and meeting so many talented creative people.
