Learning a musical instrument can be extremely expensive. There's the cost of the instrument, the lessons, the tutor books. My courses will save you money in the long run because the skills you learn don't require you to even own an instrument. If you learn from a instrument instructor, your teacher won't have to waste time in the lesson explaining e.g. how to read the rhythm.
If you're interested in songwriting, my courses will stimulate your creativity by showing you how music is and can be structured. It will open your ears to all sorts of musical possibilities.
About me
My professional musical background is in music performance, specifically the flute. After graduating from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, I embarked on a very busy freelance career in Sydney, Australia. Highlights include performing to thousands of school children in a wind quintet called The Windbags, playing in pick-up orchestras for the Bolshoi Ballet, Broadway cast of Porgy and Bess, John Denver and even was support act for Dire Straits.
I've been lucky enough to have some amazing experiences - too many to outline here. You would never guess that a classical musician could have so much fun. Seriously though, it was being able to read music and improve my playing and develop my reputation that so many doors opened. That has made me determined to share my skills with you so that you can have fun and opportunity, too.
