Ania Kurek

ITF/ATP/WTA Chair Umpire.

Ania started playing tennis at age of 11. She was an average player and let's be honest without a chances for a big career as a professional tennis player. Her biggest dream that time was to go to Australia and watch live her favourite Grand Slam - Australian Open. 

At the age of 16 she passed her first national course for tennis umpire. That time she had no clue that this was her first little step to Australia....

In 2005 she passed her first international school held by International Tennis Federation getting certification of ITF White Badge Chair Umpire. 

In 2008 got certified as Bronze Badge ITF/ATP/WTA Chair Umpire. Also in 2008 she got selected for her first Grand Slam in Paris - Roland Garros. In 2011 she went for the first time to Melbourne to officiate at Australian Open, making her dream from the childhood come true. 

Since that time she has been officiating on all the Grand Slams Tournaments - Australian Open, Roland Garros, Wimbledon and US Open. She also had an honour to work twice at Olympic Games in Beijing and Rio de Janeiro. She worked on plenty of WTA and ATP Tournaments as well as at the team competitions - Fed and Davis Cups.
