I have been involved and devoted to music for 20 years. I have pursued interests in live performance, concert organisation, recording, mixing, production, label management, and directing. My ability to conceptualise clearly and communicate concisely both musically and socially, allow me to work alone, or in concert with others very effectively.
I have worked on recording and live music projects with Kenwyn House (Reef) Mitch Glover (Kosheen) and Gary Shaw (Sherman Robertson + Jimmy Witherspoon) and Jim Shaw and Ben Baxter (The Cranes).
I have worked extensively with music technology and have good knowledge of program's such as Logic and Sibelius. In live performance i have experience with backing tracks, clicks, visual installations and lighting. i have well developed knowledge and skills in music theory, drums and percussion, guitar, keyboard and vocals. I have a good deal of experience with lots of hardware, and amplification systems both digital and analogue. I am familiar with industry practice and pride myself in the professionalism of my work and attitude. This ethos informs my work with lots of different producers, musicians, agents, managers, union members and community projects and charity's. i transcribe arrange, orchestrate and read music notation. I pride myself on my work, whether for a client or a personal project.
I have a 17 years of experience teaching in FE colleges. I teach across all levels and all subjects in all areas of music - HND (level 4 and 5), A level, BTEC level 2 and 3 in both performance and music technology. I bring a wealth of music experience and knowledge to bear in an educational setting, where I specialise in co-ordinating and producing projects like creating and showcasing original learner work
