Ali Sheikh is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Vice President at a large Investment Bank in New York with over 20 years of experience in Finance and Accounting. At his current position he oversees Financial Reporting of Private Equity Funds with over $10 billion in asset under management. Formerly, he has held positions as a Controller of a Private Equity firm overseeing finance and accounting operations for Americas and various regional offices. He also served as a consultant within the Securities Market Division of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in Pakistan supporting monitoring and surveillance of 3 Stock Exchanges and a Commodities Exchange in Pakistan. He also represented the SEC at the 6th Monitoring and Surveillance Conference for emerging markets that took place in Tokyo, Japan. Prior to that he was a licensed stock broker in New York.
