Albert Flynn DeSilver


Albert Flynn DeSilver is an internationally published poet, writer, speaker, workshop leader, and founder of Brilliant Writer dot com. He holds a BFA degree from the University of Colorado and an Masters of Fine Arts degree from the San Francisco Art Institute. Albert is the author of several books of poetry and most recently “Beamish Boy: A Memoir,” which Kirkus Reviews called a "a beautifully written memoir, poignant and inspirational, comical and terrifying." Albert served as Poet Laureate of Marin County, California from 2008-2010. Beyond literary journals his instructional writing has appeared in Writers Digest, Poets & Writers Magazine, and elsewhere. He is also a speaker and trainer having taught and presented with international best selling authors, Cheryl Strayed, Elizabeth Gilbert, Maxine Hong Kingston, and U.S. Poet Laureate Kay Ryan among many others.
