Hello, my name is Alan B Charity , I’ve been an instructor level martial artist since 2012
I come from a boxing lineage out of Youngstown Ohio.
however, my first martial art was wrestling which began in 1994 in high school.
My wrestling career took me to the world class athlete program in the US Army where I wrestled
on an Olympic level.
Wrestling is how I developed my dynamic foot work that I transitioned into boxing in mixed
martial arts.
At the world-class athlete program, I learned the art of Greco Roman wrestling, which is where I
gained a keen sense of dynamic foot placement to create leverage to execute high level
throwing maneuvers.
I really refined my knowledge in boxing in 2008 at a boxing gym in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.
The time I spent at this boxing gym with the old-school trainers there allowed me to understand
the nature, & science of boxing.
The half step footwork that I learned in wrestling is what I transitioned into Boxing.
And now, instead of throwing my opponent, Iv learned to throw punches using the same
principles of foot placement and leverage!
Building my entire fighting style around this footwork, allowed me to create a dynamic & fluid
system that incorporates multiple fighting stances, techniques, & methods from different
disciplines.
While developing this fighting style I traveled all over the country, training at different schools.
I’ve trained at Krav Maga Self Defense, schools, karate schools, Muay Thai schools and of
course multiple grappling & jujitsu schools.
From Ohio to California, and even Florida which are 3 of the most competitive states for combat
sports.
My résumé also extends far beyond martial arts, which gives me a greater aptitude and capacity
for teaching and proper instruction.
This is my first complete course encompassing my knowledge of striking with your hands. I hope
to enlighten you with the knowledge of my experience, and give you that uplifting feeling of a-ha
so that’s how that’s done.
