ESL Teacher

Hi! My name is Ahlea and for the last 7 years I have been traveling the world and teaching English.

I have worked in the ESL industry as a teacher, an academic co-ordinator and a recruiter.

I am highly passionate about teaching and about the ESL industry itself. What I am most passionate about, however, is giving myself and others the ability to live a fulfilled, meaningful and overall a fun life.

By creating my Udemy course, my goal is to provide others with the knowledge that there are opportunities out there that may not seem ordinary.

Society teaches us that we should go to school, then university, we should then find a job that we'll do until we retire and then only can we have fun.

I once came to a realization that an average person spends 18 years as a child in school, 47 years working and 15 years living out their retirement. That's nearly 60% of our lives spent working. That's 100% of our lives as able-bodied individuals who have the freedom to spend our time living our lives the way we want to.

At the age of 18, I decided that I want to live my life having fun and seeing the world. I didn't want to work towards the end of work day on a Friday just to do it all over again come Monday. I didn't want to work towards a month-end pay check hoping that I'll have enough to save towards a vacation come December. Most of all, I didn't want to work for 47 years to retire and then only be free to do what I wanted to do.

Once I decided this, I pursued my goal. Unbelievably, it's already been 7 years that I've been traveling the world and living a fulfilled, meaningful and fun life.

My goal now, is to teach others how they can do the same thing.
