How do you create and deliver a pitch that is engaging, true and moves investors to invest? Is it possible for anyone to become great pitchers and story-tellers? Yes! It is not rocket science but it does require coaching. We have worked with startups since 2012 and have see, to date, 91 companies raise over $260,000,000. This academy takes our offline content, our secret sauce and puts it online. We will coach you through simple building blocks to discover your content - the problem you are solving, the solution you are giving, the competiton you are stronger than, the traction you are making and the call to action. We have all been told "Speak more confidently", but without the tools it is like asking us to jump out of a tenth-story window and fly! We will also coach you with our tried and tested presentation technique from the stage and applying it to your startup, to your life. In nine short videos (4-5 minutes long) we will guide you through the lego blocks of great story-telling. The stuff you see here we do with Techstars, Microsoft Accelerator, Startup Bootcamp, Entrepeneur First, Startup Wise Guys, Cylon Labs, LMarks, New Entrepeneur Foundation, Pitch at Palace (and the list goes wonderfully on). If you work for a corporate - so do we! We take this stuff to Microsoft, Google, Hitachi, Vodafone, KPMG, PWC ... The same principles apply to story telling. If you have a job interview or a wedding speech, the same principles apply! If you are anyone with a story to tell ... (you get the idea). This is hard work, will push you out of your comfort zone, but if you want it, will a catalyst for your own transformation!
To pitch for investment you need to have a great story about your company and deliver it really well! This academy will help you create and shape your content so it is free from jargon and dead language. After the shaping then comes the delivery - we look at techniques for stage and screen and apply them to your pitch. If you are not a startup but need to make an impact (job interview, promotion, managing your team, wedding speech) this academy is also for you. There is always a problem and a solution, there is always a need for a story. In this first video we look at the culture we live in - the culture of boring presentations, the bad habits that trap us and we then break them off. Once the habits are broken, we can move into building a foundation of great story-telling free from anything that will weigh us down.

Most of us speak from our throats and lose our voices very easily, or we struggle to be heard, we lose confidence in our words, we can;t finish our sentences ... The list goes on. The answer to this problem lies in learning simple breathing technique. You will learn technique taken from the stage and will apply it to your body. If you can breathe from the right place you can speak from the diaphragm and speak with power. If you breathe correctly you will speak in short sentences. If you can breathe properly you will be calm even in the storm!

In 2011 a friend asked me to help her speak in public. I gave her some vocal techniques I had learnt as an actor and in 20 minutes she was transformed. That is where Amplify was born. Now, in 2017, I work with the corporate giants (Microsoft, PWC, Hitachi, Telefonica) and the Startup Accelerators (Techstars, Startup Bootcamp, Microsoft Ventures, Ignite ...) to unlock their voices. Ultimately it is about building confidence and if you give people the right technique and encourage them to embed it in them, they are able to see transformation. I love my job and see people's voices and stories unlocked every day. I recorded this academy to have a go at putting online what I believe is a catalyst for transformation!
