Kalyan Dudala

About Kalyan Dudala

As a teacher for a major standardized prep company, Kalyan has helped hundreds of students better their LSAT scores, some by as many as 20 points. He has graduate degrees in Evolutionary Biology, Genetics, and Economics. Having spent more time in classrooms than most people, he has been exposed to a wide variety of teaching styles, ranging from small classes that employed the Socratic Method to massive lecture courses in cavernous halls comprising over 100 students. He is a firm believer in the transformative power of virtual learning and hopes to bring it to demographics where the need for excellent teachers is greatest.

As a native of India, he is acutely aware of the disparity in the quality of education available to those who can afford it and those who cannot, and is committed to working to provide the same learning tools and opportunities to everyone irrespective of differences in social capital.

A little known fact about Kalyan is that he is a massive technology geek who has stripped and salvaged components from over 100 personal computers. Needless to say, the potential impact of technology recycling programs on virtual learning is not lost upon him.

Kalyan wears many hats as an educator. At one point or another, he has played all of the following roles: GMAT teacher, LSAT teacher, content developer, statistician/data miner, business analyst, test prep blogger, and student support specialist.

He can currently be found dividing his time between improving data mining tools for a major test prep company, helping students with logic in the LSAT classroom, and thanking his stars he isn’t sitting on a lab bench cutting up small animals in the name of Science.

In his spare time, he plays the guitar, keyboards, and harmonica and invests considerable energy in sounding like the poor man’s Bob Dylan.
