English [Auto] Welcome to how to start speaking more smoothly fluently clearly and confident. I am very excited about offering you this course because the information contained in this course has impacted my life in tremendous ways and it's impacting the lives of other people just like you all around the world. Let me just tell you that you may have read this bio from more than 20 years I've stuttered Hynds So there were opportunities that I didn't take because I was afraid of not being able to perform well I was afraid of I might start or I won't be able to say that I can't raise my hand in class I don't want to go to this now. Well I didn't let that completely limit me. It didn't limit me in many ways. I certainly had a fear public speaking for a while but I stumbled upon a way to overcome stuttering when I say overcome stuttering. Not really what I did but I actually did as I placed stuttering. I'll talk about this a little later. I didn't focus on treating it or try and overcome it to stop what I really focused on was how to speak well how to speak smoothly how to speak fluently how to speak clearly and confident by focusing on that what it did is it by default. Right. Just diminished the stuttering. And so it doesn't matter whether you start or whether you just struggle with doing presentations to smoothly as you like or getting your thoughts together or just when you get nervous or stressed and just are not able to speak as well. Doesn't matter if you are just here or you're all the way over here wherever you're at on the spectrum. This program can help you. Some time ago I developed Dave's speech system that is called whole 90 day pro stands for pro active. So what I'd like to do in this session is talk to you a little bit about what pro active speaking is and how it can transform your life. Proactive speaking is speaking that puts you in charge. Sometimes people feel like their speech or something else is in charge of them when they get in these situations when they talk when they have to talk on the phone. They have to do a presentation or they get an interview just talk with my wife. She said there was a lady that they really like really liked this lady and she was into it. Right. So this lady just couldn't speak coherently. Right she couldn't speak clearly she was intelligent she could speak but she had so much stuff that she wanted to say that she never really finished any one thought any one idea so they would ask her question and she would start here and jump over there and go with this or she didn't stutter. But it had almost the same impact that she didn't get the job because of that not because she wasn't qualified because she couldn't speak in that situation. She was not able to present herself. Well it was anything like this ever had. So what proactive speaking does is it puts you in control group or active. This is when you actually take action before something happens you are proactive and not react that is you're not waiting for something to happen. You're not reacting to things that happen. You're actually proactive so you're taking the initiative to get out in front of a situation to take action beforehand. So work of speech says you're going to start doing something now so that when you get in these situations you're totally in control and you perform extremely well. Does that make sense. So when you're in the interview when you have to do a presentation in a voice call when you have to speak socially or in meetings you're going to be able to get out there front and perform well. Why. Because you practice and you are preparing now by taking this course and by taking the necessary actions to internalize the information and I'm going to be sharing with self proactive speaking says that there are certain things that I can do that I'm 100 percent in control of it if I do them and if I practice them that I'll be able to use them in any situation knowing that it increases your confidence. Right so you feel like hey I need to present in a large group or small group I need to teach something I need to make an announcement. I can do it. So it increases your confidence but not only do you just feel like that you can do it. You know you can do it because you've done it before and you know how to do it. So in the next several lessons actually several sessions are going to be giving you some very specific characteristics and techniques of proactive speaking face very specific characteristics and techniques for actors speaking. Now how can this impact your life. Well think about when you learn to speak actively what you're going to be able to do is let's just look at a job situation like near which you're going to be able to express your views your ideas your opinions to your managers to your colleagues to your clients in a more coherent clear confident way. You're going to believe what you're saying because what you're saying it's clear to them they understand it. You're saying it in such a way that they enjoy listening to you they enjoy talking with you are going to be able to give more powerful presentations. Right now I'm not using any moves but I'm very clear and I'm very organized and what I'm saying. I'm going to teach you how to do it now. I can teach you how to do it but you're actually going after practice it was not magic but you're going to be able to give very powerful presentations with notes or without those people are going to understand what you're saying. And they're going to want to listen to what you say. You are going to be able to communicate even more clearly on the telephone or via video conference video conference with people in Saudi Arabia is real in England. I mean all around the world and many these people English is their second language. But we're able to communicate very well together. So you're going to be able to do that as well. We're going to give you some tools and techniques and strategies for how you design your presentation and once you learn how to do it once you have a framework in a system for designing your presentation it's going to make you more fluent. You're going to feel more confident about the content and you're going to be able to interact with people. The more dynamic way and a more conversational way not going to feel like you're just giving this big presentation you're going to feel very relaxed and very comfortable doing it. This can transform your life. When you feel good about your abilities or skills that is your ability to communicate you also are going to be able to impact the lives of others. And really that's what I'm about. I'm about being able to equip you so that you can go out and impact the lives of others and even equip them. So this can transform your life because it's helping you transform the lives of others of your family of your friends of people at your job and of people around the world and you learn how to speak well and how to speak proactively. You're able to transform the lives of others. Spoke them speak what it is. Well it's you getting out in front of those situations and not coming up to them and acting. I and what do I do now. Can I better prepare for this interview I better prepare for this. Now you're going to always be prepared with those situations. You're going to know what to do and you're going to be in control of yourself and of your speech when you get in those situations. While the speech is also something else it is speaking with my pro 90 de-program and there are some links where you can go take a look. That is specifically designed with people who stutter who have speech this fluency has informed people that just can't get their thoughts together or they want to improve will enhance their presentation skills. I primarily work with people who stutter. And what this does is this is not just helping them not stutter. That's not what we do. We help them become excellent speakers. So here's an example a person who's gone through my program within a month month and a half sometimes two months they're going to be giving presentations at work. In fact they have people go wow not just that oh you didn't study. No. Wow that was awesome. That was great. So above average what we're doing is we're teaching them a new way of speaking a more proactive way that takes them from here to up here to above average. And one of the master skills by one of the master skills master techniques in my pro the program is with them is rhythm. Believe it or not. So learning to speak with the rhythm especially if English is your second language all language has their own rhythm. So you want to become more successful and more effective in English. You're going to want to learn to speak with a rhythm know rhythm is not just about selecting the words that come out of what rhythm has an impact on your entire presence on how you think and how you breathe on how you present on how the other person receives you how they see if they understand what you're saying. Right. Believe it or not speaking with a rhythm does all of that. So I'm going to be showing you how to speak with a rhythm and presentations I speak with the rhythm in interviews in conversations and speaking with some rhythm and what that actually means. Positively impacts you and the audience are you and the listener in just incredible ways. I'm going to be sharing with you how you can organize your presentations so that you really don't have to use any notes so that you can focus not on some of the content so that you can focus on the audience and their needs of answering their questions. Right now I'm not using any notes. I barely wrote down the notes but it didn't mean I've been here because I've been hearing all along. And so what I'm presenting to you I'm thinking about the specific words not thinking about sentences that going to use I'm thinking about you and thinking about what questions you might have in your mind. What information do you need and how can I deliver that information in a way that you receive that. I'm going to be teaching you how to do the same thing that this doesn't happen overnight. So as I read this kind of introductory video or while I want to share with you is that if you really want to see change in your speech in your life you're going to have to put into practice the things that I'm sure you won't have to spend at least four hours a week working so you don't have the time to put into practice. You're going to get some good information but it's not going to have the impact that it could have. Right. I still want you to go through the course because really all you need is one piece of information change your entire life. It's one thing if you just use one thing it could transform your speech and your life but if you really want this to make an impact you need to practice. I need to practice for a sustained period of time. Why. Because what it's going to do is it's going to change your habits or your pattern of thinking. And in this case the action is speaking so in order to see any course that you take anything that you do where you want to make a change or you want to make a transformation essentially what you're doing is you're learning a new skill and you're creating a new habit. You're not really trying to change that. Sometimes we think we need to break that habit really don't do that because once those connections have been developed in your brain we don't develop that right. You don't disconnect them. What we do is we create new connections that are stronger and that eventually dominate the older become more dominant than the older ones. So in this program I'm going to be sharing with you some things that you need to practice because when you practice them both physically and mentally not just physically but mentally practice mentally physically you're going to be able to change these patterns. These patterns of thinking and patterns of speaking. So it's not just about how you speak but it's also about how you think how you think about yourself as a speaker. You think about different speaking situations. How do you think about an and he you when you know that you have an interview coming up how do you think about it. Are you afraid of it. Or are you confident about how do you prepare for when you have a presentation or meeting when you're sitting in a meeting and want to raise your hand and express how do you think about that situation. So we have to change what our thinking as well as speaking only way to do this is by paying attention that is focused attention. We have to put some focus attention and focus action. All right. So the way that we're going to change it is you have to be aware of what it is that you're trying to change. And then you have to work on the new action that you want to develop. That is focus action you have to continue to do that until the new action and the new way of thinking becomes a new pattern comes New have so that it's automatic and we'll talk about how this whole of this works as we work throughout this program. But I hope that this introduction is helpful to you in terms of explaining what is proactive speak and practice speaking puts you in charge so that when you come upon these different situations you're not scrambling trying to figure out what to do. Now you've been preparing. You've been taking action beforehand so that you're already prepared to active speaking. Also as a great deal to do with learning to speak with the Rindler when you speak with the rhythm you're more relaxed you are more calm you're more clear. If you give your brain time to process and recall information get into that too when you speak with a rhythm. You don't run out of breath. You don't get as nervous when you do get nervous. You're able to calm yourself down. You're able to communicate smoother more snow more clear and confident manner when you speak with the rhythm. In this introduction we talked about how this could impact your career and your life. Right. We also talked about how you're going to learn how to speak with some rhythm in interviews presentations and in conversations. Right. So I hope you're as excited as I am about jumping into this course. And working hard because you're going to have to work hard. So I'll see you in the next section.
