English [Auto] Work you have to become a production as well gives Mr.. My name is Raphael. Before moving on to the actual course I want to take this opportunity in adding this addendum. In this particular case you do not have to do anything before you take the next course. However few students have asked the question that some of my courses who are being taught in the Cuil version 2014 and now that 2017 is out. Do we need to relearn everything we've been taught and learned in from 2014. Three thousand sixty and now 2017. And the answer is an phatic no. With the few exceptions here you'll notice I have three versions here. If I select this and execute it. You'll notice that I have the version 2014. If I go to this next instance here and execute this you'll see that I have 16 here and if I execute this you'll notice I have 17 here but one thing I want you to note is that these are separate instances on separate servers using different versions. Everything I teach you is not based on version based it's based on it's based on the principles of database administration so everything you've learned from 2012 14 onwards right up to 17. Everything applies to the same edition as you can see. So let's just go a little further here. Couple of things you want to note here we have a database call adventure works to earn 21:14 if I execute that and run a select statement. You'll notice I get 16 rows. I can do the same on version 16 and if I run the select statement I get 60. I don't have anything install on 17 that's why I can't do it now. What about other aspects can we create and drop objects and if we execute that we've dropped a view call VW Department. And now we can create that department. So one thing you'll notice here is that I'm using the same kind of let's do a select statement on the 14. One thing you'll notice is that I have the same interface are practically the same interface that I have in the previous versions and nothing has changed. So everything you've read. I've been teaching you from 2014 onwards. Apply it to 2016 right up to 2017 and the other thing I want you to note now is the physical and physical interface. Here is two thousand fourteen. And if I expand the system databases you'll see all the relevant databases here. If I go to 16 expand them here they're identical and if I go to 17 and expand the system databases the right identical and let's look at jobs. If I go to execute the sequel server here if I go over here and sequel server if I go over here and sequel server you get the same kind of configurations as we're talking about with the alerts operators proxy and so on and a few things have been added with the newest versions. But I highly encourage you to take sequel 2060 new features. So you caught up with the latest features available. Now the reason I'm mentioning this is because as you can see there's very little dissimilarities between the older 2014 version 16 version and 17 version while we add certain features and technologies on the newer versions. I highly encourage you to take 2000 60 new features and that will catch you up. So I'm trying to illustrate that even though you learned a tremendous amount of skill administration part one two and three and some of the other courses on a platform 2014. It applies to 16 and it will apply to 16. So you don't have to relearn everything. So this is the great benefit of a sequel Eskew of 2017. So from now on the courses will be taught in the version 2000 16 or 17 moving forward. So it take note and take comfort in everything you've been to everything that I've taught you everything you've learned will apply for the next several years as I'm teaching you the principle of administration rather than Rojan base. So I just wanted to point that out before you move on to the course in front of you. So I'll just leave it here and hopefully you have got a better understanding that what you're learning applies to all the versions. So my name is Raphael and this is how to become reproduction Eskew there is administrator work to become a production as well DBS administrator. My name is Raphael. Before moving onto the actual course I want to take this opportunity in adding this addendum. In this particular case you do not have to do anything before you take the next course. However few students have asked the question that some of my courses who are Chevin taught in the Cuil version 2014 and now that 2017 is out. Do we need to relearn everything we've been taught and learned in from 2014 through 2016 and now 2017. And the answer isn't phatic no with the few exceptions here you'll notice I have three versions here. If I slide this and execute it you'll notice I have the version 2014.
