English [Auto] Okay. And the only other scale that we use through the course is the blues scale fantastic scale exactly the same notes as a minor pentatonic. It just contains a flat five as well. So if we're playing up a minor first box I say day and then D sharp is the flat five or E flat. So we get this sound and then the note appears again in the second octave on the eighth threat of the G string. So we don't learn a load of boxes for the blues scale. We don't need to because we are already learning a minor pentatonic or a pentatonic scale. What you do with the blues scale is you start adding it in and using it and before you know it you'll know where it is all up and down the fretboard. And the maps will be included throughout the course. So what we will do we'll just learn that first box that a minor pentatonic scale will add in the flat five and turn it into the blues scale so you've got one good main pattern. So gonna get five eight A string five six seven a string five seven D string then five seven eight g string and then just normal 5 8 5. So coming down 5 8 5 8 7 5 7 5 a string 7 6 5 and then 8 5 on the Eastern and that's a very nice little exercise there to get used to it is just to play the four strings. Okay so that's the tricky bit out of the way. So we've got a five shapes firmly stuck in our minds. Now we can move on get onto some of these licks and start applying the theories behind how to make these sound cool.
