English [Auto] Integrative wellness is a contemporary expression describing an array of therapeutic methodologies that promote Living Your Best Life from the inside out as well as from the outside in. I w encompasses a range of cognitive behavioral and holistic practices to provide a tool kit of interventions under one single umbrella the integrative wellness model pulls mainly from these six specific modalities Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT. This work began with Dr. Aaron back in the 1960s where short term goal oriented therapy is used to change patterns of thinking and behavior. Positive Psychology which is the science of human flourishing also referred to as The Science of Happiness contemporary art therapy or using the creation of art as a way to deal effectively with the struggles of day to day living as well as for the purpose of general personal development and LP or neuro linguistic programming which is associated with cognitive behavioral therapy and is a method of influencing the brain's reaction to stimulus through the use of language and modelling R E T were Rational Emotive behavior therapy a form of therapy that teaches how to examine and to challenge unhelpful thinking and self sabotaging behaviors. And finally life coaching the practice of providing supportive guidance to clients with a focus on goals the realization of dreams and aspirations and Overcoming Life's challenges one of the things that make the IWM model so practical is that the approaches and exercises within the model represent a combination of two or more of the six modalities mentioned within. IOW there is little distinction between the individual modalities and instead all six coalesce to form a more flexible approach. IOW it's always being updated by new scientific discoveries and practices. And as this new information becomes available additional lectures will be added to the course.
