Now let's talk more about how to actually use email marketing in your business. While every business is different there are certain elements every business needs to use for their email marketing efforts to be successful. The first thing you need to do is set up an opt in form for your sites. This is much easier than you think but explaining exactly how to do that is beyond the scope of this quake video. However we do need to cover the importance of having an opt in form. What it allows you to do is it gives you the potential to capture the contact information of everyone who visit your web site. Statistics show over 98 percent of people visiting a Web site for the first time never go back and never contact that company. Ouch. By having an opt in form you will now have the ability to capture their name email and phone number so you can begin to market to them immediately and begin to build that all important business relationship. The end result is that they are more likely to come back to your side again or even contact you directly. How many potential customers. Escape from your site without you knowing almost all of them. Isn't it a better alternative to at least have the ability to grab their contact information and start marketing to them immediately. Of course it is missing the opportunity to have your customers either complete an opt in form while they're at your place of business or at least give them an incentive to go to your website or Facebook page and have them opt into your email list is a huge opportunity that is wasted. Why let that happen. And yes you can have an opt in form on your Facebook page. In fact Facebook is a great place to find customers. Get them to like your page and opt into your email list. Don't ignore this opportunity. Let's go over a couple of examples to help you see how powerful this can be. First one business invested in a very expensive laptop computer and at the checkout counter offered their customer a free gift if they simply signed up for their mailing list every day they get more and more customers on their list that they would have otherwise never been able to marketed to. Again. That is simply a brilliant idea that any business can use. The second example is a small business owner who had their credit card receipts customized to say sign up for our newsletter at the W W W dot their website dot com and receive 15 percent off your next purchase. They have their clock circle that statement on each receipt and ask them personally to sign up. This company is also benefiting from a growing e-mail list that they can market to any time they want. These are just two simple examples. Any business can use you are only limited by your own imagination. The third must do activity when getting started with auto responders is to set up several sequential emails right from the start. Too many businesses neglect to do this at the beginning and most never get around to it which is a big mistake. We're relying on broadcast emails only is not the worst thing you could ever do. Having a series of emails sent to your list is the best possible way to get them to spend money at your business quickly. The best e-mails for retail businesses are coupons. Specific ads weekly newsletters free gifts cetra really anything you want them to be. However for service based companies the most powerful emails are the ones that provide useful content to your list content that they can use to help solve their problem in relation to your business or how they can save money by using your products or services. The added benefit to these types of emails are that you are building in trust credibility and the relationship with your list. The end result is that you will be top of mind and they will look to you as the expert in your field. In short that means more business for you. There are two ways you can get started using auto responders in your business.
