With 20 years' experience, help and advice from dog behaviourists, dog trainers, dog handlers. and successful rescue dog re-homers, Heather has put together some helpful insights into the introduction, familiarisation and training of your new dog.
The course looks at his learned behaviours, how his mind works, and which methods work best to gain his trust and achieve favourable behaviour in the home and out and about.
From a marketing and creative background, Heather Stirling trained in stress management, culminating in running workshops countrywide. Utilising Heather’s cartoons and simple common sense, delegates were found to relate well to these methods. Now principal at O H HELP, Heather produces digital online courses using the same successful fun formula.
Having grown up with horses, cows, pigs, dogs and chickens, Heather has fostered three and re-homed eight rescue dogs herself, as well as rescuing a horse on his way to the slaughterhouse - who lived to the ripe old age of 36.
Born in Cambridge and raised in Hertfordshire, Heather now lives in rural Bedfordshire and rides her horse and walks her dogs over Bunyan’s ‘beautiful valley’ and in the rest of the surrounding farmland.
