Description

Hello and welcome!  If you are a COMPLETE BEGINNER you are in the right place.

I am an award-winning GIT grad, a 15+ year professional guitarist with 50k+ students, and the founder of Guitargate - the only guitar site sponsored by a major guitar brand, PRS Guitars.

This free course is geared towards people who have either never played or haven't picked it up in a long time. SO even if you've struggled before, you will learn everything you need to know to start playing!

I promise you can do this, and I will be with you every step of the way.

We will go over everything that beginners struggle with, for example:

Are my fingers to small?

Am I too old?

Do I really have enough time? (YES YOU DO!)

What kind of guitar do I need?

AND WHATS MORE?

If you want PERSONAL FEEDBACK, post a YouTube video to the lesson discussion and I will personally watch it and give you professional feedback - just like in-person lessons.

I am the ONLY guitar instructor on Udemy that does this for their students, and it's FREE.

I want you to love playing the guitar, and I want you to learn with me for a long time. If you need any help along the way, please message me and I'll get right back to you.

I take great pride in being available to my students, so please don't hesitate to reach out!

Best of luck and I'll see you inside :)

Michael

Award Winning GIT Grad, Guitargate CEO, 15yr Working Pro.

Proud husband and father. Professional musician and guitar instructor for over 15 years. GIT graduate. Founder of Guitargate. Lead guitarist in What's Next, Baltimore's best party band.

I have been playing guitar my whole life. What started as a passion at a very young age eventually lead to a very fulfilling career in music, and I am truly grateful to be able to make a living sharing my passion for playing!

Short background - I started with private lessons when I was in kindergarten, played in bands throughout middle and high school, and eventually went to Hollywood, CA to formally study at The Musicians Institute (GIT). After GIT, I played professionally in California, and eventually moved back to the east coast where I began teaching private students, coaching rock bands, and playing in local working bands.

Over time, from the perspective of a student, working professional, and a teacher, I developed my own guitar curriculum. I had such great success with my students that I decided to expand my teaching to online. 2 years ago I launched a free interactive guitar school called Guitargate - think "facebook for guitar lessons" - and It's been fantastic. Now, I am very excited to be teaching on Udemy! I hope you enjoy learning the guitar as much as I enjoy teaching it!
