Quick tip for importing media to After Effects

Lets now import an image and also take a look at the core of After Efffects creating multiple comps and there uses.

Still image imports and Comps

Well its not all about timing and effects but it is important to be able to set up effects and the timing as well, in this lesson we will set up Keyframes and show you how to add the numerous effects found in After Effects,

Its all about timing and effects

Masking is really important to build layers up in After Effects in this lessona nd the next we take a look at a few of the main ones.

Basic Masking

Another way to add a mask is by keying this means selecting a colour and making it a mask or alpha to get rid of the parts of the image you dont want to see.

Composites are an essential part of After Effects we will take a look at this in more detail now, its also good to know how to adjust colours so we will!

Comps and adjustments

  • Every one at some point want to add text to a piece of footage lets show you how simple it is.

  • Adding Text

Adding a solid layer is often done in After Effects to allow you to add effects on top of it at the same time keeping it seperate from the master footage, we also look at filters.

    Adding an effect

We will also looks at rotoscoping this is a technique that is used to

mask out on a piece of footage that is not set up for keying, in other

words no green or blue screen.

    Rotoscoping what is it?

During this lesson we will add multiple image seqeunces into After Effects
