This is a very common type of question throughout most exam formats. Unfortunately, answering correctly relies on memorization and little thought or iteration is involved. There are a few simple rules to help improve your odds.
The stem of this type of question is often the longest of any. The test item writer is focused on diluting the key data with ancillary or unrelated information to throw the student of the trail. Don't be fooled by the red herrings and foils. Focus - patience - persistence = success.
One parters consist of a stem and answer choices. The question writer can make this type of question more complex by inserting foils and distractors to draw you away from the correct answer.
Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
