Course Description

Being an AirBnB host is tons of fun. I've met people from all over, made friends and made good money very easily.

In this course you'll learn everything you need to know to host guests in your home through AirBnB. The first part of the course covers: safety, taxes, marketing your space, adherence to laws and regulations, and a tour of what I do for my guests that made me a Superhost. I also interview another Superhost who does things very differently than I do, so you have a broader view of what it's like to be a host. The second part of the course is a walk through of signing up and listing your space. I show you what I did so you have ideas about what you'll want to do. You're welcome to copy any or none of what is shown as you list your space.

I provide helpful links to AirBnB resources as well as a few assignments to help you be compliant and successful in all areas of your hosting experience.

Hosting is a very easy way to make money and becoming a Superhost will increase the number of people who want to stay in your space. This course will show you how to get there from here.

What are the requirements?

  • All you need for this course is a space that you're willing to rent out and a way to clean it between guests.

What am I going to get from this course?

  • Successfully set up your AirBnB account, list your space, and have a good idea of what sort of experience you want to provide your guests. Topics such as safety, taxes, cleaning and how to reach Superhost status (which helps you get more bookings) are also covered. Two superhosts share their tips and tricks to help you avoid pitfalls of being a new host on AirBnB
  • See what two Superhosts are doing to get extra income from their homes. You'll get 2 different perspectives and you will get ideas of things you want to do (or not) as a host. If you've been wondering if being an AirBnB host is for you, this course will give you an inside peek so you can make a decision without going through the whole sign-up process and having people in your home.

What is the target audience?

  • Anyone who has a space that they can rent out to make extra money as an AirBnB host would gain value from this course. However, if you don't like having people in your space, then being a host with AirBnB will not appeal to you.
  • If you want to make extra income, working from home, this course will give you a good idea if being an AirBnB host is for you or not.

Section 1: How to become a Superhost
03:26

This short description of the course will give you an overview of what you'll learn. Hosting isn't hard if you enjoy having people in your home. If you're not a people person, hosting probably isn't for you -- but if you like meeting people from different places, then you might enjoy being a host with AirBnB.

The space that you're thinking of renting through AirBnB might be like mine (bedroom and private bath in my home) but it also may be nothing like it at all. Every situation will be unique. In this course I share all my tips and tricks so you can get ideas about what you'd like to do for your guests. I also walk you through signing up and listing your space.

Being an AirBnB host is pretty easy money. I really enjoy it. I've made friends and I've never felt unsafe or had a bad experience.

I hope you enjoy the course!
