Did your life turn out the way you planned it?
Did you achieve all your desires, dreams, and goals you had as a child? Me neither. My adult life swept me away in without realising it, and before I knew it, 20 years had passed, and I felt as though I had nothing to show for it. I even ended up paralysed from the neck down, at 18, life in an electric wheelchair.
Three years ago I decided that it was time to get my life back on track, to go for, and achieve the things that I wanted in life. It’s never too late to start again, to take a new direction, or to just take those first steps towards improving your life.
Start Living is a course that does just that; helps you to take those important first steps towards moving your life in the right direction. This course consists of a collection of videos, tutorials, exercises, and interactive experiences that teach you how to become more self aware, to challenge negative perceptions or self-beliefs, and to motivate you to achieve your goals in life. You’ll be able to form better relationships, be more confident, and have a more peaceful mental outlook on life. You’ve worked hard, and being an adult isn’t easy, so help yourself to make the best of the opportunities that you have in your life. It’s time to take control, and achieve the things you’ve always wanted to. Life won’t wait. Sign up today.
This is where I introduce myself, talk about some of the things I've been through in order to give you the background of who I am, and why helping people improve their lives is so important to me.
This course is quite unique, it's not something that you will be able to take and immediately learn a skill. It's about understanding and changing your life and the way you think in order to live happier and have more peace of mind.
It will require an open mind. Some concepts and ideas will seem strange or completely alien, that's okay just go with it and see what resonates and what doesn't.
Some of the concepts I talk about throughout this course will require you to let go of some current beliefs and opinions. Even if it is just temporarily. You don't have to agree with everything, or indeed anything in my course. Just see what resonates with you and what doesn't.
This is where your journey begins.
As a newborn:
This is a brief sidestep, however to have any lasting change in life it's important to understand how things work. You wouldn't try fixing your car if you didn't understand the engine. So in order to help ourselves we first need to understand how we think, how our mind works and then we can have a new understanding that can be built upon.
The selfish years. First I'd tell you you are a blank canvas, now I'm telling you you are born selfish. Really? Again, remember to open your mind and give it real thought as to how a baby interacts with the world.
The separate self. This is huge, this is the beginning of becoming who you are.
Forming a self-identity is done without even realising it. We have no idea that the influences around us are shaping our lives and who we will ultimately become. We are just a sponge absorbing information. With no preconceived beliefs, labels or opinions we just accept everything that comes our way. This is what shapes who we are and how we think.
Congratulations. You are now complete. You are somebody, you have ideas, beliefs and opinions. You have a sense of what is right and wrong, you fight for your position in life and find comfort in where you want to be. You are human.
Have you ever looked back over a few years and thought, where did those years go? I think that's pretty normal, my daughter is now 19 and I can remember enrolling her in primary school for the first time like it was yesterday.
There's two worlds, there is our inner world which consist of our thoughts, feelings and perceptions of the world. Then there is the outer world, the other people. We tend to ignore the inner world that we can change, influence and help to grow. Instead, we try to change the outer world from moving homes, changing partners to arguing with family members when they don't agree with us.
Searching for something. We are always wanting something. This can be a lottery win, new stereo or move homes. We are in that constant everything will be all right when we just get around this next corner.
We all know those times when things suddenly go wrong. They catch us completely unaware, they knock us for six and derail nearly everything in our lives.
Emotional drowning, this is something that happens to all of us. Emotions may come and go, but they never completely vanish. They are there to teach us something and unless we learn from them they will suddenly creep up and drown us.
Moving to the human mind has a massive impact on our lives, we have more compassion, caring and understanding for others.
We spend so much time waiting for someone to give us a leg up, meanwhile all the strength is doing it ourselves.
Can we really love the hard times?
Our 7 senses, really? I thought we only had 5.
We very often identify strongly with our thoughts, they become us. However, does it really have to be like that?
Interesting question, has anybody ever made you feel anything?
I know I'm right. I remember it.
With this new level of understanding, new way of looking at things it is time to see the world through opened eyes.
For the past decade, Steven Webb has been working to help others understand and relate to inner experiences and transformations that have made him a well-known speaker, author, and guide in the world of life…living life as a human on Earth, and not getting bogged down by it.
Steve has had his own fair share of the roller-coaster ride, and this has made him a qualified teacher in the art of handling the ups and downs of financial situations; love and marriage; raising children; and the relationship between body and mind. We are not our body, and Steve has learned that fact in a deeper way than most of us, due to having to spend most of his life without mobility after a diving accident as a teenager.
What began as a young person’s desire to help individuals transform the quality of their lives has grown into a full-time passion. By passion, you could exchange that for “exhilarating, unstoppable, determined, joyous path”. To those whose lives he touches through his very popular social media sites like Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter, along with his website… themovingroad.com; his radio interviews; his encouraging videos; his articles and books; Steve pushes everyone to see beyond the daily struggles, and realize, as he says, “There’s a gift in everything that happens. You just have to find it.”
Steve has written his first book, ‘The Moving Road: START your own Journey to SUCCESS in 4 simple steps‘, available on Amazon U S and U K, and is now working on his second book, ‘5 Human Dimensions‘. He is also providing a free introductory offer of his motivational guidebook… `80 Ways to Improve Your Motivation, Focus, and Get Stuff Done’ on his website for digital download.
