Small Business Consultant, Author and Marketing Evangelist

Dave Ramacitti

The director of a local small business development center once introduced Dave to a workshop audience this way: “Dave is so positive and upbeat about the opportunities for small business that it could be raining manure and he’d be telling people to start mushroom farms.”

Dave loves talking about marketing! His energetic and enthusiastic style comes through in his books, his blog, and in his presentations. His approach is always practical, down to earth, and action-oriented.

Dave Ramacitti is co-founder / chief content developer of the website Marketing Over Easy dedicated to helping small businesses be smarter and more effective marketers.

He brings more than 30 years of “hands on” experience to his books and presentations --- when it comes to marketing, Dave’s “been there, done that.” He started a direct mail business while still in high school; he has owned and operated a retail store; he was the editor and publisher of several weekly newspapers; and was the founder and editor / publisher of a monthly magazine and other specialty publications.

And has been self-employed for more than 15 years --- he tells friends, “Hey, this self-employment stuff is great. You only need to work half-a-day, and the best part is, you can pick any 12 hours you like.”

Dave has written more than a half dozen highly praised how-to books for the small business market, including several that were translated for the international market.

“If you have time for just one book on the topic,” INC. Magazine said about Dave’s book “Do-It-Yourself Publicity,”, “this is the one say the pros. No theory, just down-to-earth information from a former newspaper man.”

Currently his three volume series called “The Three Marketing Absolutes’ are available on Amazon Kindle. A local entrepreneur said of The Three Absolutes”: “For the first time a book actually talked to me and not over me.”

Dave received his MA in Public Relations from the University of Northern Iowa. He has been married to his best friend for more than 20 years and lives in Rock Island, IL.
