Description

Most people never actually accomplish the big things they wish they could do. Their creative work; writing, music, entrepreneurship, art- it seems there isn't much that comes from the great ideas we have.

But what if we knew how to develop an idea and didn't get stuck on the "how" part? And what if we had a method that moved our work forward without as much resistance?

The skills taught in Risking Your Ideas will change your effectiveness in your work and creative endeavors.

I·DE·A·TION /īdēˈāSHən/

noun

The creative process of generating, developing, and communicating new ideas. Ideation comprises all stages of a thought cycle, from innovation, to development, to actualization.

You'll remove barriers to producing vulnerable, heart-felt work, establish habits to automatically initiate ideas and systematically develop them, and use writing in more powerful ways for accomplishing your goals (even if you're not a writer). Learn the productivity skills that have helped people produce some of the best work. And do it with a community of people motivated to do the same.

Who is the target audience?
  • Creative “idea types" who struggle to produce the ideas they're most excited about
  • Writers, Bloggers, Speakers, Comedians, and Songwriters
  • Those perpetually disappointed with the quality of their work
  • Anyone intimately familiar with the word “procrastination" or who has ever self-identified as “A.D.D." or as a “Perfectionist."

Creator of Risking Your Ideas

In college I fell in love with a girl. When I asked her to marry me, I had an idea to make it as memorable as possible. So 1 blindfold, an auditorium, a McDonalds dinner, a custom-written song and an entire audience later, that proposal made school history.

Today I create for a living as a professional idea developer at the Downtown Billings Alliance. We consistently create programs and membership incentives, test them, and launch them in our pursuit of making our city amazing.

I've passionately pursued, failed, and continued pursuing ideas since birth. My own creative projects include songwriting, course creation, and entrepreneurship.

I'm likely to be found with a white chocolate mocha near by, or to welcome your invitation to get one. I'm excited to welcome you to Risking Your Ideas.
