Please use these cards. You have made an investment. Please don't leave these sitting in your hard drive. Print them out and get started as soon as you can. I recommend printing these cards on think paper. The goal is to read and pronounce Katakana correctly. Take your time with each flash card and focus on the reading, and then pronounce the word aloud.

Instructor Biography

Nicholas Kemp, Language Instructor and Infopreneur

Hi there,

My name is Nick and I make a living helping people learn English and Japanese. I lived in Japan for 10 years, established my own language school and a created a number of information products with the help of my wife Kaoru.

Based on our research and my own 10 years of living in Japan we decided to develop Intermediate Japanese language learning programs founded on real life experience. Courses that would let you learn the Japanese language as if you were actually in Japan.

Most of my feedback has shown me that students didn’t want to focus on grammar or text books and just the basics of the language. Students wanted to be taught real Japanese, that would help them with life in Japan. By developing language programs based on my real-life experience in Japan, I knew I could meet the needs of many learners struggling with their Japanese.

My wife and I have spent the last 7 years teaching people Japanese and English online. In fact, hundreds now read and Japanese who never thought they could thanks to our online programs. Also, we have have the privilege of helping many students pass the Japanese Language Proficiency Test. We have now decided to share our course on Udemy.

We hope to help more people learn Japanese and English. Learning a language can change your life. It did for me, and I know it can for you.
