Mark Peter Davis ("MPD") is a serial entrepreneur, venture capitalist, community organizer and the author of The Fundraising Rules. As both an entrepreneur and investor MPD has successfully raised venture capital and made investments as an angel and a VC in companies such as Coinbase, MakeSpace, SailThru, Warby Parker, Coursehorse, Trustify, UrbanStems, CourseHero and others. 

MPD is the founder of Interplay, a NY-based foundry and investment firm started with the idea of re-imaging the core service businesses that startups need to be successful. Foundry companies include: DevSpark, FounderShield, Nomad Financial, Truman James, TwentyPine, Venwise, Varick North, Fulton Waters, Common Legal, Truman James, Piper Crane, and Aced Up.

Prior to Interplay, MPD was a venture capitalist at DFJ Gotham Ventures and High Peaks Venture Partners. Before entering the venture space, he worked at KPMG and Bain. He earned his BA at Duke University and his MBA at Columbia.
