I was born and raised in Cambridge in the United Kingdom and have always been fascinated with aviation. Following my high school years, I earned a Masters degree in Manufacturing Engineering at University of Nottingham, which involved a work placement at the Rolls Royce jet engine facility in Derby.
Following my graduation I embarked on a successful IT consulting career which has resulted in living and working in London, Sydney and now New York. But my interest in aviation never disappeared.
On arrival in New York I finally took the opportunity to fulfill a lifelong ambition of learning to fly, which I achieved by earning my Private Pilot License in September 2013.
I regularly fly around the NYC area and can often be spotted flying friends or visiting family on Manhattan sightseeing flights along the Hudson river.
I want to share my flight learning experiences with other like minded people to make the process of earning their wings simpler and even more enjoyable.
