Section 1: What are we going to paint

This is an intro and I'll introduce my self and my course.

Section 2: Let's start it with settings!

In this lecture you will learn how to attach the paper to the surface on which you will paint and why this process is important. In addition, you will find attached an explanation of the types of sheets of watercolour.


In this lecture I will show you how wet the sheet before using the colours, and why we need to do it. I will also talk about the brushes which you should use and, as an attachment, you will find basic information about this tool.

Section 3: Let's start painting

You'll see how to practise with watercolours and why is important to do it. We will do together the main shades that we'll use on our painting!


In this lecture I'll explain how to start coloring and you'll start using your watercolours!!


In this lecture I'll show you what happens if you don't keep clean your glass of water.


In this lecture you'll start to paint the sky and you'll understand why and how make it slovly dark.


In this lecture I will reveal a trick to dry the paper in no time. You will learn how and why it can be useful. ;)


I'll explain why and HOW you should re-paint the sky with the same colours more times instead of using a black colour. You'll see your sky becoming deeper and intense.


You'll learn how to draw mountains o the horizon and you'll se your painting becoming complete.


I'll teach you how to colour the mountains making them look realistic with shadows. You'll see that It's really simple!


You will learn how to use another technique in addiction to the watercolour. This is important because sometime the result is easier to achieve and looks better. You'll add stars to your sky and have a overall view of your masterpiece!


In this lesson we will see our painting and we will correct those things that do not convince us to make it perfect and finished!

Instructor Biography

Patrycja Jeleniewicz, Professional Artist

My name’s Patrycja Jeleniewicz, I was born in Poland, but I grew up in Italy and I attended Art School there for five years.

In 2008 I won “La citta’ delle torri”, which is held in Brescia and organized by the “FAI”.

From 2009 to 2011 I worked at “Fucinatura Pontogliese” Company, in Pontoglio (IT) as a designer.

From Autumn 2012 until January 2014 I worked as assistant and second photographer for Simone Mondino, an Italian professional photographer . Whith him I set up an exhibition called “NaturArte” where I showed my paintings and he his photos. It was held at the restaurant “Pane&Vino” in Cherasco.

In spring 2013 I worked for “CuneoSocial” , creating graphics and I also created posters for “MeteoNetwork” .

In May 2013 exhibited one of my artworks at the Art School of Cuneo. This painting received a special mention during the ‘Bongiovanni’ competition.

In August I participated with some of my oil canvases at the event “Mangiamo, Cavalchiamo, Artiamo” in Racconigi, along with several well-known artists of the Piedmont.

From to 13 October 2013 I held a second art exhibition with the photographer Mondino, at the Art Gallery “Mondow” of Mondovi’.

Now I’m in Brisbane (Australia), here I'm working mostly on private commissions. I'm also studying travel&tourism, my second biggest passion.
