We look at a simplified three tier architecture to lay the foundation for future lectures.
We discuss the Database and Middleware family of products and the various editions and cost options. Oracle Database Enterprise Edition is the prime focus for this introductory course.
We look at the two ways to licence Oracle, by server and by users. Processor and Named User licences. Processor is usually the equivalent of 50 named users.
