Section 2: Step 1: Capture
In this session we'll look at why it's important to start by capturing all of the ideas, tasks, and information you can think of in your mind map, and why the focus (at the moment) is on quantity, not quality!
In this section we look at the fundamental features within MindMeister that will enable us to capture ideas and information, and start building our mind map dashboard.
In this session we'll begin the process of creating our mind map dashboard, by capturing some initial ideas, grouping them together, and starting to build out the information further.
Section 3: Step 2: Prioritise
Now it's time to start thinking about ways to prioritise all the tasks, ideas, and projects that we're dealing with on a daily basis. In this session we'll discuss the importance of prioritisation, and the value of lining up your priority planning with the overall business objectives.
In this short session we'll look at a couple of great features in MindMeister that can help us clarify our priorities, and make them more visual and visible within our dashboard mind maps.
In this session, we return to build further on our mind map dashboard, and start to review and re-organise the map contents based on our priorities, using the priority markers, and auto-numbering to ensure we are constantly able to action what matters most.
Section 4: Step 3: Plan
In this session, we're looking at some of the key principles to keep in mind as we start to do our planning in MindMeister.
In this session, we'll show you how to use the Task Information feature within MindMeister to assign key Who, What, and When information to topics within your mind maps!
In this session, we'll put the Task Information feature into action within our mind map dashboard, to illustrate how you can ensure you have all key information at your fingertips within one mind map.
Section 5: Step 4: Progress
In this session, we look at the key principles for the 'Progress' stage of our productivity process.
In this session, we'll show you how to use the MindMeister icons to visually signal your progress on tasks, and how you can use the search function within MindMeister to quickly and easily find/identify tasks according to their status.
In this session, we'll put the moved/unmoved markers into our Dashboard map, and see how this can help us keep a clear visual picture of where we need to focus our efforts.
In this session, Liam will share his MindMeister dashboard with you, to illustrate how all of the features and approaches covered in this course are being put to use on a daily basis at Biggerplate!
