Hi! Creativity Coach, Aisha Borel here. Welcome to my Mind Map Course.

Mind maps are near and dear to my heart. I love mind maps, so much so that I painted three walls in my office with chalkboard paint and literally covered, floor to ceiling, them with mind maps.

Crazy, huh? Not at all. Now I can see the big picture and the details of my online business, Free Mind Academy, all at once.

This is why I'm teaching this course. Mind mapping is awesome and mind maps are a passion of mine. Which is why I hope you enjoy this course.

With all that said, welcome to the course. I am so excited you are here.

With the growing popularity of mind mapping, it seems like there’s no shortage for different kinds of ways to actually create one.

Of course, the easiest way to create a mind map is with a simple pen and paper

However, a pen and paper may not always be the best tool for the job — especially considering exactly what kinda project you’re working on, what tools you have available, if you’re crunched for time, or, if you’re collaborating with several other people like you might with a brainstorming project.

Thankfully in today’s day and age, you’re not limited to only being able to use pen in paper.

In fact, there’s no shortage of excellent APPS, various kinds of mind mapping software, and brainstorming tools readily available.

Best of all, most of these tools allow you to easily work on your mind maps on the go!

A popular online mind mapping tool available is called "iMindMap". iMindMap is a mind mapping and brainstorming software created by the inventor of mind mapping, Tony Buzan. One of the nicest things about this software is that it offers a 30-day FREE trail of their software.

Which mind mapping tool you choose will mostly depend on if the have a version available in your preferred platform (mobile, tablet, desktop computer).

So, if you're looking to be more productive, be sure to use this form of mind mapping. It's the exact method I've used to keep track of all my thoughts and "brilliant ideas" for years.

TASKS: Be More Productive By Turning Your "Task List" into an Effective Mind Map

As you know by now, mind maps are an excellent way to organize your thoughts while unlocking your creative potential. Whether you're writing for business or pleasure, a simple mind map can make sure that you don't forget to include anything. The process of creating a mind map for your book works the same way as if you were creating any other kind of mind map.

WRITTING - Use a Mind Map to Plan Your Next Writing Project

"Noteability" has quickly become one of my favorite APPS for creating basic, hand-drawn mind maps on my iPad.  It's easy to download from the iTunes store and can be used on any iOS device as well as a separate downloadable desktop version for you Mac.

One of my favorite features about this APP is that it allows me to take awesome notes by giving me several ways I can capture my thoughts through the use of hand-writing, photos, sketches, typed text, and zooming capabilities!

Like I said, it's pretty awesome :D Which is why it's become my go-to APP for drawing out mind maps with my Apple Pencil.

LECTURE - From Outline to Mind Map

Note taking isn't just relegated to the classroom anymore.

For many of us, accurately recording lectures, meetings, bits of conversation, books, and jotting down ideas is quickly becoming an increasing part of our everyday life. Thing is, with so many different ways to capture and record our world, it's easy for ordinary notes to get forgotten or simply lost in the mix.

Thankfully there's a solution!

In this lecture I give you tips for how to create memorable notes that are easy to remember, as well as SHOW you how I take more effective notes by opening up "Noteability" along with an Amazon Kindle book I'm currently reading and screen recording how I take notes.
