This Introduction to PowerPoint training class is designed for students who are interested in learning the fundamentals needed to create and modify basic presentations using Microsoft Office PowerPoint. Students will explore the PowerPoint environment and create a presentation. Students will format text on slides to enhance clarity and add graphical objects to a presentation and modify them. Students will also add tables and charts to a presentation to present data in a structured form and then finalize a presentation.

The terminology you expect to find within this course is very user-friendly and easy to understand for those who want learn the fundamentals of PowerPoint 2016.

The course consists of 12 sections, 12 quizzes, and 52 lectures along with interactive videos and activities.

Dr. Harold L. Fisher has been a professor at College of Biblical Studies in Houston, Texas for the last seven years, and has been teaching for multiple universities online for the last eight years. Prior to becoming a professor, he taught in public school education for a total of eight years.

He received his doctorate degree in teacher leadership from Walden University, a master’s degree in education from American Intercontinental University in instructional technology, a master’s degree in education from Our Lady of the Lake University with dual majors in curriculum and instruction and master technology teaching, and he holds a third master’s degree in organizational leadership from Baptist Bible College. He finished his Bachelors of Science degree in biblical studies from College of Biblical Studies, and has a Texas teacher certification in Business Education from Texas State University.

He was the recipient of the 2009 Teacher of the Year award in Spring I.S.D. and the 2009 Teacher of the year for the Spring I.S.D. Virtual High School, featured as the 2009 Teacher of the Month (June) by KPRC Channel 2 Houston, and in 2009 he was recognized by Harris County Region 4 as Teacher of the Year. He was recently nominated by his peers to receive an award to the Delta Epsilon Chi Honor Society for Biblical Higher Education for his intellectual achievement, Christian character, and leadership ability.

He is the author of four books, “Virtual Schooling through the eyes of Teachers,” “Attitudes and Perspectives About Teaching of Teachers Who Provide Online Instruction at the Secondary Level,” “A Technology Workbook for Christian Learners” and "Microsoft Office 2010 Made Easy." He is currently working on multiple online courses, articles and book projects.

He has been married to his beautiful wife, Kym for twenty-two years. They have three kids, Brittani, Nicholas, and Sydnee.

Dr. Fisher’s favorite activities are golf, research, and spending vacation time with his wife and kids.
