Mathematics GCSE - Revise & Learn: 'Ratio, Proportion and Rates of Change'

This 26-lesson course includes all the material you need for the ‘Ratio, Proportion and Rates of Change’ section of the brand new Maths (9-1) GCSE qualification. Each lecture includes slides and step-by-step examples for every topic, along with worked solutions for practice exam questions.
Throughout the course, I will talk you through the basics of every concept and section, before moving on to practice exam questions. This makes this course suitable for all abilities, whether you are learning GCSE Maths from scratch, or in need of revision leading up to exams.
The course follows the standard Maths GCSE structure (as used by Edexcel, AQA and OCR), meaning it is easy to follow and perfect to use alongside any other learning or revision you may be doing. The course is split up in to the following sections:
· Direct and Inverse Proportion
· Compound Growth and Decay
· Unit Conversions
· Speed, Density and Pressure
We will also take a quick look at the recent changes to GCSE Maths in the UK, and how it has affected the grading system and exam structure. If you follow this course, you will gain a solid understanding of all of the above topics, whilst greatly improving your ability to answer questions on exam day.

Before starting the course, we are going to take a quick look at an
overview of Maths GCSE (9-1) as a whole. This is for the brand new
specification (first being examined in 2017), and includes information
on the new grading system, course structure, the weighting of marks for
each section, and the exams themselves.
I have been a full-time professional tutor in Maths and Science for over 5 years, teaching all ages and abilities, including GCSE and A-Level. I have an MSci degree in Physics from the University of Bristol, and I love helping students get the grades they want whilst enjoying and appreciating their subject in the process.
I am currently running a private tutoring company in the UK (Surrey Private Tutors), specialising in Maths and Physics. I am also continuing to take on new students myself on a weekly basis, as I love teaching and helping students reach their potential!
