    Welcome to the course!  I'm excited to walk you through the steps of making your first track.  Before I do that however, Udemy tells me you like to learn a little bit about your instructor before delving into their content, so I'll give you my elevator-pitch introduction

    My name is Colin, I've been producing dance music and hip hop for over four years.  I currently ghost produce (i.e. make tracks for other DJs) for a website myself and a friend run called Middle8Studios.com.  I also produce under an alter-ego DJ Veaux: A persona under which I release dance music tracks.  I also occasionally tour with vocalist Jordan Riley for his "Revolution of Light" tour.

    Now that you know a little bit about my background, let's get into making your first melody :D
