Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) is vital to leverage in order to move any system into production. By default,vROps only has a single shared admin account. This section covers the important topic of how to create and import users for enterprise-grade RBAC.

Groups are a far more effective way to govern access than individual users. The process for adding local users and groups is similar to users butfar more common in enterprises.

Groups
05:36

The most common users and groups used within vRealize Operations Manager are from Active Directory. However, before you can import them, you need to set up your authentication source.
