About this course:
I believe, this is the simplest and easiest way to learn the basics of guitar. Right off the bat I get you playing guitar and learning techniques through PLAYING SONGS! People learn best when they are actively doing what they enjoy! I cut out all the unnecessarily lingo and theory and get you right in.
After one week, you will be able to play a song!
Believe it or not, but most worship songs are not very different. Most are either one of four different chord patterns. I will teach you 4 different songs that will empower you to play almost every popular worship song!
Hillsong, Tomlin, Crowder, Sovereign Grace, Jesus Culture, and Classic Hymns.
In this course I will teach you,
After the "Crash Course" you will start learning how to play songs. I will teach you how to play 4 different songs that contain the basic framework and skills of most songs out there!
How long will it take?
Remember, Udemy frees you up to learn as quick or slow as you want. Its on your terms! But I suggest that it will take the average student about 1-2 months to learn (Depending on your natural talent and diligence).
While many others would still be learning basic theory, you will be jamming away!
Heres a short video sharing my story and my experience with guitar.
I spoke a lot about knowing Jesus. If you don't know Him and you want to hear more, check out these three links. You won't regret it! The third one is me preaching at a private school. Here I share the Gospel.

I cannot stress how important it is to follow the instructions on this video.
Remember, being able to successfully dominate this course in 4 weeks will depend on how hard you work, how often, how closely you listen, and will depend on your level of musical talent.
I do believe every single people can successfully knock this course out of hte park in time. If you are working hard, pracicing often, and listening carefully I suspect it will take 4 weeks for abnormally gifted students, 6 weeks for the average student, and 8 weeks for those (Like me!) who are musically challenged.

Nothing will help your skills grow more then trying to play like a pro. Practice by playing along. The chords are exactly what Matt uses. At first, try strumming down once and holding the note on every chord change. After you can play along with him semi comfortably, move along to the next section. Don't get discouraged if you don't get it immediately. It takes time and your first week will probably be the hardest. Better to continue to move on than try to stay on this week and master it. Come back later to this lesson after finishing the course and be amazed at how well you will be able to play it!
After you have the basic strum down and you can keep up with the chord changes, try my other video on “strumming like Matt.” E
Don't forget to worship Jesus!
Mercifully shorter than last week! This week, you can catch up!
These are three excellent resources that can take you much further. They have much more advanced material, so consequently, they are more expensive and more challenging, but I think you would benefit tremendously from any of these course. Check them out and get a feel for which one resonates with you.
If none of them, I will continue to add material to this course and you can stick with me!
