About this course:
I believe, this is the simplest and easiest way to learn the basics of guitar. Right off the bat I get you playing guitar and learning techniques through PLAYING SONGS! People learn best when they are actively doing what they enjoy! I cut out all the unnecessarily lingo and theory and get you right in.
After one week, you will be able to play a song!
Believe it or not, but most worship songs are not very different. Most are either one of four different chord patterns. I will teach you 4 different songs that will empower you to play almost every popular worship song!
Hillsong, Tomlin, Crowder, Sovereign Grace, Jesus Culture, and Classic Hymns.
In this course I will teach you,
After the "Crash Course" you will start learning how to play songs. I will teach you how to play 4 different songs that contain the basic framework and skills of most songs out there!
How long will it take?
Remember, Udemy frees you up to learn as quick or slow as you want. Its on your terms! But I suggest that it will take the average student about 1-2 months to learn (Depending on your natural talent and diligence).
While many others would still be learning basic theory, you will be jamming away!
Not for you? No problem.

I cannot stress how important it is to follow the instructions on this video.
I do believe every single people can successfully knock this course out of hte park in time. If you are working hard, pracicing often, and listening carefully I suspect it will take 4 weeks for abnormally gifted students, 6 weeks for the average student, and 8 weeks for those (Like me!) who are musically challenged.

Practicing with the pros
Nothing will help your skills grow more then trying to play like a pro. Practice by playing along. The chords are exactly what Matt uses. At first, try strumming down once and holding the note on every chord change. After you can play along with him semi comfortably, move along to the next section. Don't get discouraged if you don't get it immediately. It takes time and your first week will probably be the hardest. Better to continue to move on than try to stay on this week and master it. Come back later to this lesson after finishing the course and be amazed at how well you will be able to play it!

|Section 8: Bonus Songs (Beyond the basics)|
Introduction to Bonus Songs
I Once was Lost
In 2003 I was among the walking dead. Though I was in rebellion and wanted nothing more than my own glory, Jesus snatched me from the grave, breathed life into me, and changed my life. A light shone into the darkness of my soul and created life. The gaping void in my soul was filled. All my sins and filth were cleansed and forgiven. I was given hope, identity, and purpose. I found the great treasure of the universe and I knew that I wanted to give my life to sharing this treasure with the world. That was over 11 years ago, and I am more in love with Jesus, because I know Him more. He has been so faithful to me. Never has anyone had a better lover, savior, king, doctor, and friend!
