From a novice to a seasoned developer this course will give you access to earn cash in the new Apple Watch store. Learn before launch and be one of the first in the App Store.
This course will take you through developing several Apps for the Apple Watch. Over time more Apps and content will be added covering all aspects of the Apple Watch. All this future content is free for current students.
You will to use the features of the Apple Watch such as:
All apps you develop in this course come with complete source code and permission to use them however you like! Change, and modify these apps to use however you like!
This course comes with a free copy of my "Learn Swift A-Z foundations" valued at $49 USD. This is the perfect companion if you are unfamiliar with Swift.
By the end of this course you will be able to confidentially make your own Apple Watch apps, whatever you can imagine you can create.
All my courses include:
Are you ready to take your first step in developing Apple Watch?
Do you want to be among the first to be on the Apple Watch store?
Enrol today, every hour you delay is costing you another App that could be ready for the Apple Watch app store!
Welcome to the course, outlines what the course is about, what you will learn and a bit about me (Andrew) & Seemu Apps.
The requirements to take this course. OSX & XCode.

This lecture gives us an overview of how the Apple watch architecture It shows us how an Apple Watch app is split up into two parts - the views on the watch & the code on the iPhone.
How to setup a watchkit app in XCode. Also shows us how the architecture described in the previous lecture.
This lecture gives an overview of how the new Notifications and Glances work on the Apple watch.
This lecture shows us some handy tips and tricks when developing. This is good to keep in mind when setting up an App.
Before you make an App it is good to get your idea laid out before writing a line of code. Especially for larger projects this will save you alot of time in the future.
How to setup the app we are going to make.
How to show another screen in watch kit. This explores all options you have with examples.
Quite often we need to pass data from one screen to another. This explores this processes & goes through setting it up step by step.
We look at changing an image based on some data we got from the segue. This is done in code.
We figure out how to add & play a sound. In this one we set the app up to play a car alarm.
We explore how to make animated buttons using timers! In this lecture we will make the button flash red and blue when tapped.
As well as playing animations and sounds you will want to stop them at some point! We cover all this and more in this lecture.
Congratulations on finishing your first app! Some challenges for yourself to expand on it:
I forgot to mention in the previous lecture that I have included the source code for this app. It can be downloaded in the previous lectures resources. Just as a general note at each app summary lecture I will include the source code.
Quiz covering the concepts in the Weather at a glance app.
Hi I am Andrew.
I created Seemu Apps to create and share knowledge I have gained on my journey in learning iOS app development. Too often would I look up on how to solve a problem to only find an explanation that seemed to be written in an alien language. As my skills have developed I can understand these solutions, however I remember what it was like to be a novice!
I have been programming since I was in high school and have been developing for iOS for 2 years. I currently have 12 apps on the iOS app store - one of which reached the Top charts in the Lifestyle category for most countries.
My aim is to share my knowledge by creating the courses I wish I had access to when I was learning development.
I also run a youtube channel and website which has quick tutorials on specific topics to help everyone develop their apps.
