Description

Improve your ability to help beginning Spanish language learners build confidence.  Tutor Spanish and see results.

I’ve designed this curriculum with a focus on research-based methods and proven techniques that improve Spanish language communicative skills, specifically speaking skills. The video lectures and slide presentations, allow you to access and review the information as often and whenever you like.  I’ve also included notes and sample activities that guide you by modeling how the concepts are applied. The practice activities I’ll cover consist of a worksheet and quiz for each of seven lessons designed to help you master the concepts. Who should take this course? I am a native of North Carolina, United States. I enjoy learning, and consider myself to be a life-long learner.

I graduated cum laude from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish.  I have more than 20 years of combined experience in teaching and tutoring Spanish. I have extensive training in education and I speak Spanish fluently.

I have taken graduate level courses in Reading, Writing, and Literacy and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.  I am very active in the community, and I am associated with several non-profit organizations.  I enjoy sports, music, reading, and writing, and of course, teaching.  I enjoy spending time with friends and family.  My beautiful wife and I live in North Carolina with our two dogs, Reese and Ebony.

I have traveled quite extensively, visiting South America, Central America, and the Caribbean.  My travels have opened the doors to many friendships, and have allowed me many opportunities to appreciate a variety of cultures from a very close perspective.
