ABOUT The Livianu Education Initiative

The world's best ear training & sight singing course is now here at your fingertips. Each of the 32 lessons in video, audio and printable pdf formats, are now available on the wonderful and easy to use Udemy learning platform.

Romanian-born, Juilliard Graduate and Brooklyn resident David Livianu has completed a monumental ear-training manual for anyone interested in learning music the right way; it contains 32 lessons with over 2,400 pages of sheet music and 32 hours of pre-recorded audios & video sing-along exercises.

Livianu challenges the myth that “Musical Perfect Pitch” is a genetic gift and sets out to prove that anyone who practices these exercises diligently can succeed. His belief is that “Learning Music Starts with Singing” and “Dedicated Practice Makes Perfect” no matter what type of music you're interested in.

David Livianu draws on over 45 years of music experience and has set out to make these 32 lessons available to children around the world; he donated his work to UNICEF and with the help of the awesome Udemy learning platform you too can learn and support this global education initiative. Now you can download each lesson selectively for a small fee and take the audio exercises with you anywhere.

Mr. Livianu is a native of Romania, born in 1955, and holds a Masters in Music from the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City, where he studied composition under the late avant-garde composer Milton Babbitt. David Livianu was featured in 2001 on 20/20 with Barbara Walters for his humanitarian work with older orphans in Eastern Europe;

In 2014 David Livianu made his manuals available to the New York City public schools; his pedagogical efforts have been recognized and praised by The NYC Chancellor of Education, Carmen Farina.
