    I am Ijeoma Akubue, a native Igbo speaker.

    I am excited to guide and support you as you learn Igbo. You will learn how to introduce yourself, greet people and respond to simple requests in this course.

    You will also be able to ask questions eg for directions or for someone to explain what they’ve said. By the end of this course, you will be able to do this and much more including  counting numbers 1-100

    Throughout the course, I will pause frequently to give you a chance to speak out loud what you have learnt. Do not worry so much if you forget, you can go back to any section anytime and listen again.

     At the end of each lecture, we’ll do a quick practice of what we learnt .

    Oh! There’s a special bonus action lesson and rhyme to look forward to at the end of every section.

I am Ijeoma, a native Igbo speaker, passionate about the language and about teaching. There are frequent pauses to enable you speak what you have learnt. Practise with the quizzes embedded in the lectures.
