In this lecture I will try to help you to decide on how and what you would like to broadcast. It is a very important step as it will determine the most important lectures for you to focus on moving forward.

No matter what you are live streaming, rest assured the attraction is YOU not the content. That is why we must first understand YOU before we can start to understand what your broadcast look like. Use the document below to help you in this process.

Write a list of everything that you are passionate about or interested in. You don't have to be an expert that can come later, but just make sure that everything on the list is something that you will continue to have a long term interest in.

What things do you consider you are good at? What are your best personality traits or talents? If you don't know ask a close friend or family member.

What things do you consider you are not good at? What are your personality traits or talent weaknesses? If you don't know ask a close friend or family member.

Take your passions and interests and estimate the potential audience for each. Utilise YouTube stats and Google Keyword research.

Research who is already covering the topics on your list. Study their content and make a short description of how you would describe it.

Narrow your list by putting it through the following filter:

1. Order your list by audience size

2. Which has the least competitors

3. Using your strengths and weaknesses determine if you can cover the topic in a unique way to anyone else or at least done better.

Let's work out what YOU are going to Broadcast.
