Other Set Expression code work
In this series of lectures we will be using new data that spans 4 years for analysis
Load and review our data, but how do we merge multiple year files together, here you will learn more about interacting with the "Data load editor" with some cool short cuts and optimisations for data loading.
Learn how to discretise data using the Class() function and a flags method.
How to create a data table from existing model data that will become a disassociated table (Why is this not good but can be useful ? )
Here you will learn more about interacting with the "Data load editor"
Digging more into the code for this table.
Back to visualizations now and lets build a sheet for the discretisations and we'll also apply conditional formatting.
Advanced counting using Sum, Aggr() function and TOTAL.
The lecture goes into detail how to create a count of customer registrations by month.
Using advanced counting on your sheet and discuss the testing process for this.
Lets review what we have learned in this section and visualize this on a dashboard sheet.
Adding maps to the final dashboard sheet.
Section overview
Learn to use the PNL pivot in QlikSense, a visualization bundle extension, to display profit and loss data with colorized formatting, templates, and payroll-focused measures.
Learn to combine row number, above, and range sum for 80/20 analysis to build a pareto chart and compute a dynamic running total across rows in Qlik Sense analytics.
Develop a Pareto chart to analyze sales data by identifying the top 20% of staff responsible for 80% of sales, via cumulative frequency percent and aggregation scope in Qlik Sense.
Explore constructing a pareto chart using a combo chart, sorting by total sales per employee, calculating cf percent, and applying color rules to highlight top and low performers.
Review what we have learned in this section and visualize this on a dashboard sheet.
Develop profit performance insights by creating a canonical calendar and mastering Qlik Sense variables, using the data load script to build reusable expressions and a cumulative chart.
Explore how to build a canonical calendar using a compound key and a bridge table to align order, due, and ship dates, enabling cross-date analysis in Qlik Sense analytics.
Build a bar chart using the canonical calendar in Qlik Sense analytics development, counting distinct orders and comparing orders taken, due, and shipped with set expressions and variables.
Use variables to build a canonical calendar bar chart with set expressions. Apply date type filters to show orders taken, due, and shipped.
Build a set expression to display the previous year month sales using max order date, add months, and month start/end boundaries with dollar expansion and create a reusable variable.
Create ytd and mtd date variables in Qlik Sense analytics development to drive today, yesterday, and previous-year month sales and profit with reusable date ranges.
Define measures as variables in Qlik Sense to visualize cumulative values, then build a cumulative combo chart with bars for SA sales and SA profit, and a line for totals.
section nine tips and tricks introduces four new apps, covering bookmarking, default landing pages, qvd files, web scraping, master calendars, data governance, and mashups.
Create, name, and save bookmarks in QlikSense, apply selections and layouts, and set a default bookmark to open a landing page such as Australia computers.

Certificate in Qlik Sense Analytics Development (Fully updated October 2021)
Data Scientists, Data Analysts are big career topics today, but we still need an efficient and timely method to visualise what we have discovered in the morass of data within our enterprise.
Thankfully we have the Qlik suite of products to help us with this and my all time favourite is Qlik Sense, I liked it so much, I took a leave of absence for 3 months to develop this course (and it is continually updated to stay current).
If you want a hands on approach to learning Qlik Sense and a certificate that showcases your technical skill then this is the best course for you.
Qlik Sense is the next generation of QlikView.
Qlik Sense is overtaking so many of it's peers because of it's underlying 'associative data model' technology and absolute ease of discovery for insightful decision making and story telling.
I am sure that once you have completed this course you will not want to revert to the old clunky ways of surfacing your analytics like you did with those products from the older monolithic vendors that will always impose their ways to suppress your work flow and creativity.
This course of study is designed to transition your skills into a deep understanding of Qlik Sense application development.
The skills that you learn in this course is 100% transferable to Qlik Sense Enterprise and Qlik Sense Cloud (SaaS).
Looking forward to seeing you in the course.
