Solving a physics and engineering problem starts with modeling. It is almost impossible to obtain accurate information without using the model. However, the research shows that students have very wrong ideas, especially in this regard. We will try to eliminate these misconceptions and introduce you to the scientific method in this lesson. Then, in the second part of this lesson, we will study the topic of vectors that are almost all used in other physics topics. So, I did not underestimate this first unit and explained important technical details. My ultimate goal is to keep your motivation high and to make a right start for your next physics work.
I graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Mechanical Engineering. Then I completed the master's degree on Physics Education. One of the most important problems in physics education is the disunity between physics education in high school and physics and engineering education in university. In particular, by considering this problem, I adopt the engineering approach in my lessons and I has prepared my students to university examinations by adopting this approach in physics education for more than twenty years.
