The purpose of this course is to explain nuclear weapons and effects, and most importantly, this course explains the basic steps for protecting yourself. This course explains explosive blast, heat and thermal effects, electromagnetic pulse, initial radiation and residual radiation or fallout. At the end of this course you will have a solid understanding of nuclear weapons effects and know how to protect yourself.
William Conner, MS, MA, CPP, is an independent consult specializing in security, preparedness and risk assessment. He has supported the Homeland Security community as a subject matter expert for over 25 years. He regularly provides advanced technical training, exercise development and detailed risk assessment for a wide range of clients including military branches, Federal agencies and commercial interests. He has developed and delivered undergraduate coursework in the Homeland Security discipline for four years.
William holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Psychology from Park University, a Master of Arts in Business and Organizational Security Management from Webster University and a Master of Science in Biodefense from George Mason University. William is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP).
