Creative Cloud, frequently referred to as CC, includes InDesign and many other graphic design software applications including:
Yes, there are many great applications here. In fact, more than you will probably ever use. If you’re thinking that learning one will make it easy to use the other ones, that is true to some extent but it is nothing as easy as learning the Microsoft suite of applications: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook. In Adobe, although some menu options are the same, each application comes with its own steep learning curve.

Should You Purchase InDesign By Itself Or The Entire Creative Cloud?
It took me at least a year to become proficient in the small list of applications I use above, which is less than half of the products available. However, I do use the ones listed above on a regular basis and it is more cost-effective to purchase them via CC and not individual products.
If you’re just starting out with Adobe, then simply purchase one tool and see if you like it and how easily you can master that before moving onto another. They do all complement each other and make it easier to use the entire CC suite.
